Cyclones re-sign Ege

Cincinnati, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones announced that the team has re-signed defenseman Wyatt Ege for the 2022-23 season.Ege, 27, tallied 28 points (7g-21a) in 63 regular-season games in 2021-22, and was Cincinnati's representative at the 2022 Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic in Jacksonville. He also received a pair of three-game recalls to the American Hockey League last season, suiting up for Rochester and Providence.

He began his professional career in 2020-21, posting seven points in 22 games with HK Nitra in Slovakia.

Prior to turning pro, Ege played college hockey at Ohio State University, where he was an Academic All-Big Ten selection in three of his four seasons and captured a Big Ten regular-season championship in 2019.

The Elk River, Minnesota native skated in 59 games in both the United States Hockey League and the North American Hockey League, capturing the NAHL Robertson Cup title with Fairbanks in 2014.
