RAPID CITY, S.D. – The Rapid City Rush, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Calgary Flames, announced that winger Brett Gravelle has been signed to a contract for the 2022-23 season.
Gravelle returns to Rapid City after spending the majority of his 2021-22 season with the Rush. He totaled 54 points (27g-27a) over 67 games for the Rush after being claimed off waivers by in November after playing one game for the Iowa Heartlanders, where he had three points (2g-1a).
A native of Forest Lake, Minnesota, Gravelle opened the 2021-22 season in the Southern Professional Hockey League where he played five games for the Quad City Storm, tallying seven points (2g-5a).
Prior to turning pro, he played his college hockey at the University of St. Thomas, where he totaled 113 points (50g-63a) in 102 career games. Gravelle led St. Thomas in goals in each of his four seasons.
