PORTLAND, Maine – The Maine Mariners announced that forward Patrick Shea has re-signed with the team for the 2022-23 season.
Shea made his professional debut on Nov. 14th, 2021 scoring his first pro goal in the contest. The 25-year-old went on to finish seventh on the team with 31 points (15g-16a) in 31 games. Shea saw four American Hockey League games as well for the Springfield Thunderbirds, in which he registered two assists.
Originally from Marshfield, Massachusetts, Shea had a standout high school and prep hockey career. He posted a 71-point season in 31 games for Kimball Union Academy in 2015-16. He was selected by the Florida Panthers in the seventh round (192nd overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
Shea played at the University of Maine from 2016-20, where he collected 54 points (20g-34a) in 135 career games.
