Starrett joins Mavericks

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The Kansas City Mavericks have signed goaltender Shane Starrett for the 2022-23 season.

Starrett has experience between the pipes in both the ECHL and the American Hockey League. In his most recent ECHL experience with the Wheeling Nailers in 2020-21, he recorded a 7-11-4 record with a 3.46 goals-against average and a .892 save percentage in 23 games. During the 2018-19 season for the AHL's Bakersfield Condors, Starrett recorded a 27-7-7 record with a 2.33 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage in 42 games played. In eight playoff games that season, he posted a 2.89 goals-against average and a .889 save percentage with a 3-3 record. 

Last season, Starrett played for the Glasgow Clan in the Elite Iice Hockey League, posting a 3.20 goals-against average in 53 games.
