Coralville, Iowa –Rookie forward C.J. Yakimowicz has signed his first professional contract with the Iowa Heartlanders for the 2022-23 season. Yakimowicz is coming off a four-season career at the USports level for Dalhousie University where he registered 48 points (19g-29a) and 176 penalty minutes four seasons from 2017-22. Prior to his time at Dalhousie, the Kingston, Pennsylvania native won the 2016 Memorial Cup with London. He generated 87 points (31g-56a) and had 322 penalty minutes from 2013-17 in the Ontario Hockey League with London and Sudbury.
C.J. Yakimowicz was selected by the St. Louis Blues in teh 6th round (172nd overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
