Americans sign Hargrove

ALLEN, Texas - The Allen Americans, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Ottawa Senators and American Hockey League's Belleville Senators, announced the signing of forward Colton Hargrove to a contract for the 2022-23 season.

Hargrove joins the Americans after not playing professional hockey during the 2021-22 season. He spent the previous two seasons in Austria with Bolzano HC (2019-20) and Szekeshfehervar Alba Volan HC (2020-21) combining for 69 points (23g-46a) in 92 games.

A native of Dallas, Texas, Hargrove played in 259 games in the American Hockey League from 2015-19 with Providence and Texas, totaling 113 points (51g-62a).

Prior to turning pro, Hargrove spent three seasons at Western Michigan University, where he had 62 points (34g-28a) in 105 games. He was selected by the Boston Bruins in the seventh round (205th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
