Cyclones add veteran forward Berry

Cincinnati, Ohio - The Cincinnati Cyclones announced that the team has signed forward Matt Berry ahead of the 2022-23 season.Berry joins Cincinnati after putting up 61 points (24g-37a) in 44 regular-season games with the Toledo Walleye last season. Additionally, Berry spent 19 games in the American Hockey League with Grand Rapids, collecting six points (2g-4a). The Canton, Michigan native added 14 points (5g-9a) in 21 contests during the 2022 Kelly Cup Playoffs.

The 30-year-old has played parts of seven pro seasons, totaling 226 points (91g-135a) in 215 career ECHL games with Toledo, Florida, Kalamazoo and Utah and adding 28 points (9g-19a) in 81 career AHL games with Grand Rapids, San Diego and Norfolk.

Prior to turning pro, he had a four-year tenure at Michigan State University from 2011-15 where he registered 96 points (48g-48a) in 130 games and was named to the Big Ten Honorable Mention All-Star Team his senior season.
