KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo Wings, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Columbus Blue Jackets, announced the re-signing of defenseman Jeremy Masella and forward Tanner Nagel.

Masella appeared in 20 games for the K-Wings last season, after being signed out of Carleton University on Jan. 5. Deptie limited action, Masella developed quickly in the K-Wings system, finishing the season with four points (1g-3a) and 24 penalty minutes.

Before enrolling in college, the Phoenix, Arizona native played five seasons in the Western Hockey League scoring 42 points (10g-32a) in 228 games for Victoria and Prince Albert.

Nagel appeared in eight games last season for the K-Wings, after signing a contract out of the University of Regina on March 5. He scored one goal with 22 penalty minutes during that limited action.

The Mossbank, Saskatchewan native is also a product of the WHL, playing five seasons with Portland, Lethbridge and Swift Current. Following his final campaign with Swift Current in 2018-19, Nagel appeared in nine games with the Utah Grizzlies, registering one assist before heading to college.
