Watson returns to Fuel

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel announced that they have re-signed forward Spencer Watson for the 2022-23 season, making him the longest-tenured active member of the team.

Watson, 26, returns to the Fuel for his fourth season with the team. The London, Ontario native has skated in 168 games for Indy, tallying 141 points (76g-65a). 

Watson holds a number of Fuel all-time records, including most goals in a season (31), most power-play goals in a season (11) and longest scoring streak (15 games).

Watson was seleced by the Los Angeles Kings in the seventh round (209th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Prior to turning pro, he scored 20 or more goals in a season in each of his five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with Kingston and Mississauga. Since his pro-hockey debut with the Ontario Reign in 2017, he has scored 20+ goals in four seasons – 2017-18 and 2018-19 with the Manchester Monarchs and 2019-20 and 2021-22 with the Fuel.
