Former Kansas City Mavericks’ goaltender Ville Husso of the Detroit Red Wings is the Bellevue University ECHL Alumnus of the Month for February.
The 28-year-old went 6-4-0 in 10 appearances during the month with a 2.60 goals-against average and a save percentage of .913. He allowed two goals or less in six of 10 appearances while making at least 26 saves six times.
Selected by the St. Louis Blues in the fourth round (94th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Husso appeared in 13 games with the Mavericks in the 2016-17 season going 4-4-2 with a 3.23 goals-against average and a save percentage of .910.
Husso has seen action in 101 career NHL games with Detroit and St. Louis posting an overall record of 57-28-12 with six shutouts, a 2.81 goals-against average and a save percentage of .909.
