Eriksson Ek makes NHL debut

Former Tulsa Oilers' goaltender Olle Eriksson Ek became the 740th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday against Arizona. 

Eriksson Ek is the 13th former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2022-23 season. He appeared 27 games with the Oilers during the 2019-20 season, going 10-11-4 with one shutout, a 3.01 goals-against average and a save percentage of .902. He saw action in five additional games with Tulsa in 2020-21 when he went 3-2-0 with a 2.79 goals-against average and a save percentage of .901.

A fifth-round selection (153rd overall) of the Ducks in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, Eriksson Ek has posted a record of 17-35-3 in 61 career appearances with San Diego of the American Hockey League with one shutout, a 3.79 goals-against average and a save percentage of .876.
