KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo Wings, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Vancouver Canucks, announced that defenseman Chaz Reddekopp has been signed to a contract for the 2023-24 season.
Reddekopp, 26, is entering his sixth professional season. Last season, he posted 14 points (1g-13a) in 51 games with South Carolina while also earning the ECHL Community Service Award. Kalamazoo acquired his rights last month to complete a trade which sent Max Humitz to the Stingrays in March.
Reddekopp’s professional experience spans four American Hockey League teams (Ontario, San Jose, Belleville and Tucson) and five ECHL teams (Manchester, Fort Wayne, Allen, Orlando and South Carolina).
The West Kelowna, British Columbua native also enjoyed a productive career in the Western Hockey League with Victoria through parts of six seasons from 2013-18. He recorded 134 points (27g-107a) in 280 career games wtih the Royals and was selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the seventh round (187th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
