Swamp Rabbits bring back Freeman

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Greenville Swamp Rabbits, ECHL affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, announced that the club has signed returning forward Ben Freeman to a contract for the 2023-24 season.  Freeman, 27, returns to the Swamp Rabbits for a third season, having appeared in 127 games with the team from 2021-23. In 65 games during the 2022-23 season, Freeman posted a career-high 13 goals and tied his career-high of 32 points before leading the Swamp Rabbits with four goals and six points during the 2023 Kelly Cup Playoffs. A native of Falmouth, Maine, Freeman has totaled 64 points (23g-41a) with the Swamp Rabbits. He also skated in seven games with the Wheeling Nailers during the 2020-21 season while also adding nine points (1g-8a) in 15 games that season with the Southern Professional Hockey League's Pensacola Ice Flyers, where he was a part of the President's Cup championship team.
