Nichol inks deal with K-Wings

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo Wings, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Vancouver Canucks, announced that rookie forward Ted Nichol signed a contract for the 2023-24 season.

Nichol is a Listowel, Ontario native who was acquired by Kalamazoo via as the future considerations portion of a trade with the Florida Everblades for the ECHL playing rights to Logan Lambdin last March. 

The 26-year-old posted three points (1g-2a) in 15 games with the Everblades to finish the 2022-23 regular season, following his senior campaign with the University of Guelph. 

Before signing with Florida, Nichol played 76 games across four seasons with the Gryphons, compiling 41 points (16g-25a) and winning the USports (OUA) championship in 2019-20. Nichol also played parts of five seasons with Kingston of the Ontario Hockey League, recording 93 points (31g-62a) in 268 career games.
