Martin joins Fuel

INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel announced tthat they have signed forward Jon Martin to a contract for the 2023-24 season. 

The 28-year-old tallied 25 points in 38 games last season for the Rapid City Rush. During the 2021-22 campaign, he had 16 points (4g-12a) in 60 games for the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League (AHL). Prior to that, the Winnipeg, Manitoba native played the 2020-21 season for the Lausitzer Füchse in the German DEL2 league recording 24 points in 37 games. From 2017-20, Martin played 166 games in the AHL for the San Jose Barracuda and Tucson Roadrunners. 

Prior to turning pro, he played four seasons in the Western Hockey League for the Kootenay Ice, picking up 62 points in 191 games, before joining the Swift Current Broncos in 2015.
