Stingrays re-sign Lukosevicius

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Washington Capitals and American Hockey League's Hershey Bears, have signed forward Jarid Lukosevicius to a contract for the 2023-24 season.

Lukosevicius, 28, tallied eight points (5g-3a) in five regular-season games with South Carolina last season before adding five points (4g-1a) in the team's six game playoff series against the Florida Everblades. 

Lukosevicius has 163 games of AHL experience over five seasons split between the Grand Rapids Griffins, Abbotsford Canucks and Belleville Senators. He spent most of the 2022-23 season  with the Senators, scoring 13 points (7g-6a) in 52 games.

Before his professional career, Lukosevicius played four seasons for the University of Denver. In the 2017 NCAA National Championship game, Lukosevicius scored a hat trick to lead the Pioneers to a 3-2 victory against the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Lukosevicius registered 105 points in 158 games with Denver.
