Gaucher makes NHL debut

Gaucher makes NHL debut

Former Reading Royals' forward Jacob Gaucher became the 761st former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday at Colorado.

Gaucher is the ninth former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2024-25 season. He made his pro debut with the Royals in 2022-23, tallying 61 points (22g-39a) in 71 regular-season games and adding 12 points (6g-6a) in 11 contests during the 2023 Kelly Cup Playoffs. 

A native of Longueuil, Quebec, Gaucher has recorded 43 points (22g-21a) in 103 career American Hockey League games with Lehigh Valley.
