Former Wichita Thunder goaltender Olivier Rodrigue became the 763rd former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday at Seattle.
Rodrigue is the 11th former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2024-25 season. He appeared in games for the Thunder during the 2021-22 season going 7-7-1 with 3.57 goals-against average and a save percentage of .907.
Selected by the Oilers in the second round (62nd overall) of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, Rodrigue has seen action in 130 career games with Bakersfield of the American Hockey League where he is 61-51-15 with two shutouts, a 2.89 goals-against average and a save percentage of .906.
