Ostman makes NHL debut

Ostman makes NHL debut

Former Kansas City Mavericks' goaltender Victor Ostman became the 765th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday at Utah.

Ostman is the 13th former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2024-25 season. He made his pro debut with the Mavericks this season going 21-7-4 in 32 appearances with two shutouts, a 2.52 goals-against average and a save percentage of .903.

A native of Danderyd, Sweden, Ostman has also seen action in four games with Coachella Valley of the American Hockey League this season where he is 2-1-1 with one shutout, a 2.00 goals-against average and a save percentage of .927.
