Admirals sign 2011 All-Star Tarasuk

NORFOLK, Va. – The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, have agreed to terms with defenseman Steven Tarasuk, Head Coach Rod Aldoff announced.

Tarasuk spent last season with STS Sanok of the Polish Hockey League and tallied eight points in 13 games.

The 26-year-old turned pro at the conclusion of the 2009-10 season after registering 67 points in 67 games with the London Knights in his final year of major junior hockey.  Since then, Tarasuk has logged 236 ECHL games, most recently with the Allen Americans, Brampton Beast and Missouri Mavericks during the 2014-15 season.

Aside from his time in the ECHL, Tarasuk has a few games of American Hockey League experience, along with stints in Germany, Italy, and Poland.  During the 2010-11 season, he was named an ECHL All-Star as a member of the Kalamazoo Wings.
