Toledo, Ohio - Forward Erik Bradford has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2016-17 season.
The Walleye are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Detroit Red Wings and the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins.
Bradford had a successful first professional season with 32 points (10g-22a) and 28 penalty minutes over 65 games with the Orlando Solar Bears. The native of Orangeville, Ontario also had a 10-game point streak from March 5-26 (10 points).
The 21-year-old forward also had a stint in the AHL at the conclusion of the 2014-15 appearing in three contests for the Toronto Marlies, scoring one goal. Prior to turning professional, Bradford spent four full seasons in the Ontario Hockey League posting 186 points (76g-110a) with 166 penalty minutes over 264 contests. Bradford picked up career highs in goals (28), assists (45) and points (73) in his final OHL season (2014-15) while playing for Ottawa and Owen Sound.
