Cyclones welcome back Mulvey

Cincinnati, Ohio - Cincinnati Cyclones Head Coach Matt Macdonald has announced that forward Colin Mulvey has signed a contract for the 2016-17 season.

The Cyclones are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Nashville Predators and the American Hockey League's Norfolk Admirals.

Acquired in an early-February trade with the South Carolina Stingrays, Mulvey was an important piece to the Cyclones' second-half puzzle, accounting for 20 points (8g-12a) in 25 regular-season games with Cincinnati, and adding two assists in seven playoff games. He appeared in 37 games with the Stingrays prior to the trade and totaled 22 points (11g-11a).

Mulvey spent the 2014-15 season with the Erding Gladiators in Germany, where he totaled 52 points (29g-23a) in 40 games. In 2013-14, Mulvey split time between the Wheeling Nailers and the Cyclones, skating in 38 games overall. In seven games with Cincinnati that season he recorded five points (2g-3a).

He made is professional debut with the Fort Worth Brahmas of the Central Hockey League at the end of the 2012-13 season, registering a pair of goals in nine playoff games.
