Jackals agree to terms with Thrush

Jackals agree to terms with Thrush

ELMIRA, N.Y. - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and AHL's Rochester Americans, announced the team has signed forward Casey Thrush to a contract for the 2016-17 season.

Thrush begins his second professional season and his first with the Jackals, after spending his rookie season with Allen, Indy, Evansville and South Carolina. The Easton, Md. native played 25 games among the four teams and had eight points (4g-4a).

The 24-year-old forward had a strong collegiate career playing for the University of New Hampshire producing 63 points (20g-43a) in 151 games from 2011-15.

Before enrolling at New Hampshire, Thrush spent the 2010-11 season with the USHL's Muskegon Lumberjacks and collecting 28 points (10g-18a) in 59 games.
