O'Donnell returns for second season with Everblades

O'Donnell returns for second season with Everblades

ESTERO, Fla. - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced that the team has agreed to terms with forward Brendan O’Donnell for the 2016-17 season.

The Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes and the American Hockey League's Charlotte Checkers.

O’Donnell returns for his second season with the Everblades after an impressive 37-point (17g-20a) rookie campaign in 2015-16.  O’Donnell ended the season on a high note, tying an Everblades team record by a scoring a goal in nine consecutive games. The original record was set by Keith Anderson during the 2003-04 season.

Prior to joining the Everblades, the 24-year-old totaled 55 points (27g-28a) during his four-year collegiate career at the University of North Dakota from 2011-15.  The Winnipeg, Manitoba native was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the sixth round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
