Toledo, Ohio - Forward Tyler Sikura has agreed to terms with the Toledo Walleye for the 2016-17 season.
The Walleye are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Detroit Red Wings and the American Hockey Leauge's Grand Rapids Griffins.
Sikura joined Toledo last year and finished second on the team with 48 points (16g-32a) over 68 contests. The Aurora, Ontario native also appeared in another four games with the Portland Pirates of the AHL.
Over four years with Dartmouth College, Sikura appeared in 125 games with 92 points (36g-56a) while serving as team captain for his junior and senior seasons. The 24-year-old posted a college best 32 points with highs in goals (12) and assists (20) during the 2012-13 season. His 32 points led the Big Green in scoring that season and his 24 points (10g-14a) as a senior finished second the team. As a freshman in 2011-12, Sikura tied for the team lead in scoring with 25 points (11g-14a).
