Veteran forward Hunt back with Aces

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Alaska Aces announced the club has re-signed veteran forward Garet Hunt for the 2016-17 season.

The Aces are the ECHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League and the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League.

Hunt joined Alaska last season after seven seasons with Stockton. The 28-year-old played 61 games for the Aces in 2015-16, scoring 23 points (11g-12a) to go along with a league-leading 277 penalty minutes, the second time in his career he led the ECHL in penalty minutes.

Hunt has seen action in 502 career ECHL games and enters the 2016-17 season seventh all-time in league history with 1,934 penalty minutes.
