Jake Hildebrand of the Indy Fuel is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Oct. 14-16.
The 23-year-old was 2-0-0 with a goals-against average of 1.00 and a save percentage of .966 last week, helping the Fuel sweep a season-opening home-and-home series against Cincinnati.
Under an American Hockey League contract with Rockford, Hildebrand stopped 33 shots in a 3-1 win over the Cyclones on Friday and made 23 saves in 2-1 victory at Cincinnati on Saturday.
A native of Butler, Pa., Hildebrand made his professional debut last season with Allen, appearing in six games and posting a record of 5-1-0 with a 2.31 goals-against average and a save percentage of .925.
Prior to turning pro, Hildebrand played four seasons at Michigan State University where he saw action in 133 career games, recording a 2.54 goals-against average to go along with a .921 save percentage. He also played three seasons in the United States Hockey League with Cedar Rapids and Sioux City.
