Doug Carr of the Wheeling Nailers is the CCM ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Oct. 24-30.
The 27-year-old went 2-0-0 with a 1.44 goals-against average and a save percentage of .957 in two appearances last week.
Carr stopped 45 shots - and stopped five of six shootout attempts - in a 3-2 win at Kalamazoo on Friday and made 22 saves in an 8-1 victory over the K-Wings on Saturday.
A native of Hanover, Mass., Carr has appeared in five games for the Nailers this season going 2-2-1 with a 2.34 goals-against average and a save percentage of .925.
Carr has appeared in 51 career ECHL games with Wheeling, Manchester and Colorado posting an overall mark of 22-20-6 with two shutouts, a 2.68 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage. He is 6-5-1 with one shutout in 18 career American Hockey League games with Abbotsford, Adirondack and Albany.
Prior to turning pro, Carr played four seasons at UMass-Lowell, seeing action in 86 games with an overall record of 42-33-8 with four shutouts, a 2.58 goals-against average and a save percentage of .915.
