ECHL announces fine, suspension

The ECHL on Saturday announced that Fort Wayne’s Bobby Shea has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #136, Fort Wayne at Missouri, on Nov. 11.

Shea is suspended one game as the result of receiving an aggressor penalty in the final five minutes of regulation and two games as the result of punching an unsuspecting opponent.

Shea will miss Fort Wayne’s games at Missouri (Nov. 12), at Wichita (Nov. 13) and vs. Quad City (Nov. 18).

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
