Sam Warning of the Quad City Mallards is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Nov. 21-27.
Warning scored three goals, added three assists and was a +7 in three games last week.
The 24-year-old tallied two goals - including the game-winner - in a 4-2 win at Cincinnati on Wednesday, scored one goal in a 4-3 shootout win over over Indy on Friday and recorded three assists in a 6-2 victory at Fort Wayne on Saturday.
A native of Chesterfield, Mo., Warning leads the Mallards with eight goals and is tied for the team lead with 17 points.
Warning has tallied 48 points (24g-24a) in 82 career games with Quad City.
Prior to turning pro, Warning recorded 97 points (40g-57a) in 146 career games at the University of Minnesota. He also posted 62 points (33g-29a) in 109 games with Cedar Rapids of the United States Hockey League.
On behalf of Sam Warning, a case of pucks will be donated to a Quad City youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 35,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
