Alex Wideman of the Indy Fuel is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Nov. 14-20.
Wideman scored four goals, added three assists and was +7 last week, helping the Fuel to a 3-0-0 record.
The 24-year-old tallied a goal and an assist in a 6-1 win over Wheeling on Friday and in a 4-3 victory against Atlanta on Saturday before notching three points (2g-1a) in a 6-5 win over the Gladiators on Sunday.
A native of St. Louis, Wideman leads the Fuel this season with seven goals and 13 points in 14 games.
Wideman has tallied 52 points (22g-30a) in 72 career ECHL games with Indy and Evansville while also seeing action in 11 career American Hockey League games with Binghamton.
Prior to turning pro, Wideman recorded 56 points (24g-32a) in 200 career games at Miami University.
On behalf of Alex Wideman, a case of pucks will be donated to an Indy youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 35,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
