The ECHL on Thursday announced the following fines and suspensions.
Fort Wayne’s Baptista fined
Fort Wayne’s Mason Baptista has been fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #655, Fort Wayne at Kalamazoo, on Feb. 14.
Baptista is fined under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of his actions at 8:04 of the third period.
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
Orlando’s Block fined, suspended
Orlando’s Austin Block has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #662, Orlando at Florida, on Feb. 15.
Block is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as the result of an unpenalized slew-footing infraction at 5:47 of the second period.
Block will miss Orlando’s game vs. Norfolk tonight (Feb. 16).
Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
Florida’s Gogol fined, suspended
Florida’s Curt Gogol has been suspended indefinitely and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #662, Orlando at Florida, on Feb. 15.
Gogol is fined and suspended under Rule #28 – Supplementary Discipline as a result of his Game Misconduct for Aggressor under Rule #46.2 at 5:53 of the second period.
Gogol will miss Florida’s games at Greenville on Feb. 18 and Feb. 19 and any further discipline will be announced tomorrow.
