ECHL announces fine, suspension

The ECHL on Thursday announced that Orlando’s Etienne Boutet has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his actions in ECHL Game #529, South Carolina at Orlando, on Oct. 16.

Boutet was assessed a major penalty and game misconduct for charging under Rule #42.5 at 2:15 of the third period.

Boutet will miss Orlando’s game at Jacksonville on Oct. 19.

Under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the ECHL and the Professional Hockey Players’ Association, player fines collected by the ECHL are given to the PHPA for its ECHL Player’s Hardship Fund.
