Petryk brings AHL experience to Idaho

Petryk brings AHL experience to Idaho

BOISE, Idaho – The Idaho Steelheads have agreed to terms with forward Reid Petryk on a contract for the 2018-19 season.

The Steelheads are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Dallas Stars and the Americna Hockey League's Texas Stars.

Petryk played 51 games with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage during the 2017-18 season, tallying 13 points (7g-6a) with 16 penalty minutes. The Edmonton, Alberta native played four full seasons in the AHL between Lake Erie and San Antonio beginning in the 2014-15 season and also appeared in 26 ECHL games with the Fort Wayne Komets. In 231 professional games, the 25-year-old has recorded 83 points (36g-47a) with 86 penalty minutes.

He was also captured a Western Hockey League title and a Memorial Cup championship with the Edmonton Oil Kings in 2014 while serving as an alternate captain.
