ESTERO, Fla -Florida Everblades General Manager Craig Brush, along with Director of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Brad Ralph, announced the signing of forward Alex Aleardi for the 2021-22 season.
Aleardi spent the last six seasons overseas playing in various leagues such as the Swedish Hockey League, the HockeyAllsvenskan League, the ICE Hockey League and Ligue Magnus.
A native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Aleardi found the most success in Ligue Magnus, where he notched 169 points (77g-92a) in 129 games. While in Ligue Magnus, Aleardi played for Gernoble Brûleurs de Loups and the Rouen Dragons.
Before going overseas, Aleardi played in the American Hockey League as well as in the ECHL. Aleardi started his professional career in 2013 with the Springfield Falcons of the AHL when he recorded 16 points (7g-9a) while also adding 23 points (14g-9a) in 23 ECHL games with Evansville.
Aleardi split the 2014-15 season between the Everblades and the AHL's Charlotte Checkers. During his time with the Checkers, Aleardi amassed 23 pointts (12g-11a) in 43 games. With the Everblades, Aleardi recorded 19 points (8g-11a) in 16 regular-season games and added six points (1g-5a) in eight games during the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
