NORFOLK, Va. — The Norfolk Admirals announced they have signed defenseman Kyle Rhodes to a contract for the 2021-22 season.
Rhodes joins the Admirals after spending the majority of the 2020-21 season with the Southern Professional Hockey League’s Huntsville Havoc, where he had 10 points (3g-7a) in 21 games. The 23-year-old also skated in six ECHL games with the South Carolina Stingrays.
A native of Powhatan, Virgnia, Rhodes spent his first professional season with the Tulsa Oilers in 2018-19, tallying 16 points (11g-5a) in 50 games.
Prior to turning pro, Rhodes spent four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, appearing in 220 games with Sudbury and Guelph. In his final season, he led Sudbury as captain while compiling 24 points (10g-14a).
