ORLANDO, Fla. —The Orlando Solar Bears have announced the club has agreed to terms with forward Luke Boka on a contract for the 2021-22 season.

Boka, 22, joins the Solar Bears after spending the past season with Queen’s University, which ultimately did not compete during the 2020-21 campaign after U Sports, the governing body for university sports in Canada, canceled all winter sports, including hockey.

Prior to enrolling at Queen’s University, he played five seasons of major junior hockey for the Ontario Hockey League’s Windsor Spitfires, where he helped his team capture the Memorial Cup in 2017. In 313 career games with the Spitfires, Boka produced 140 points (60g-80a) and 183 penalty minutes. The native of Plymouth, Michigan served as team captain in his final two seasons with Windsor.
