Fort Wayne, Ind. - The Fort Waye Komets announced that veteran defenseman Jamie Milam and rookie defenseman Sacha Roy have also agreed to terms with the team for the 2021-22 season.
Milam first signed with the Komets in 2006 after completing four years at Northern Michigan University. The 37-year-old then played for Gwinnett and Toledo in the ECHL, as well as two seasons in Europe and Bossier-Shreveport of the Central Hockey League in 2010-11. Milam returned to Fort Wayne for the 2011-12 season playing 66 games and scoring 20 goals helping the club to a Presidents’ Cup championship in the CHL. The Lake Orion, Michigan native returned to Europe the following season, only to find himself back in Fort Wayne at the end of the 2012-13 season. He has spent the last seven seasons in Norway, England, Slovakia and Italy. Milam has compiled 503 points (191g-319a) in 787 career games in North America and Europe.
Roy, 22, played four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League amassing 332 penalty minutes with Cape Breton and Baie-Comeau.
