Jones makes NHL debut

Former Fort Wayne Komets' forward Ben Jones became the 708th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday against Columbus.

Jones is the 10th former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2021-22 season. He posted five points (1g-4a) in eight games with the Komets during the 2019-20 season.

A seventh-round selection (189th overall) of the Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, Jones has totaled 29 points (13g-16a) in 86 career games in the American Hockey League with Henderson and Chicago.
