Baddock makes NHL debut

Former Adirondack Thunder forward Brandon Baddock became the 713th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday at Carolina.

Baddock is the 15th former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2021-22 season. He made his pro debut with the Thunder in the 2016-17 season, notching four assists in 21 regular-seasong games and adding one assist in four games during the Kelly Cup Playoffs.

A sixth-round selection (161st overall) of the New Jersey Devils in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Baddock has totaled 43 points (16g-27a) in 218 career American Hockey League games with Binghamton and Laval.
