Railers bring back Verrier

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Worcester Railers Hockey Club, ECHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, announced that the club has signed defenseman Ryan Verrier to a contract for the 2023-24 season.

Verrier, 24, returns to Worcester after spending the 2022-23 season with the Dundee Stars of the Elite Ice Hockey League. With Dundee, the Reading, Massachusetts native scored 20 points (5g-15a) in 54 games. Verrier spent eight games with the Railers at the end of the 2021-22 season following the conclusion of his senior year at the University of New Hampshire. Verrier recorded one assist in his first stint with Worcester.

During his time at the University of New Hampshire, Verrier scored 23 points (5g-18a) in 116 career games.
