NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Winnipeg Jets and American Hockey League's Manitoba Moose, announced that they have signed forwards Nicolas Ouellet and Jordan Stallard to contracts for the 2023-24 season.
Ouellet, 24, inks his first professional contract after he completed a three-year playing career at the University of Ottawa. In 30 games with the Gee-Gee’s, he totaled 18 points (13g-5a). Prior to his arrival in Ottawa, Ouellet played five seasons with the Val-d’Or Foreurs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. In four of those seasons, he posted at least 20 points. In 2019-20, Ouellet was an alternate captain for the team and finished with 50 points (30g-20a), which led the team.
Stallard, 25, returns to the United States for the first time since 2018-19 when he was a member of the Indy Fuel. Since then, he played three seasons at Acadia University, and last season, split time between the Manchester Storm (Elite Ice Hockey League) and EHC Klostersee (Germany3). With EHC, he totaled 20 points in 28 games. Stallard’s major junior career was highlighted in 2017-18 when he was a member of the Prince Albert Raiders when he posted a team-leading 91 points (44g-47a) while serving as an alternate captain. He was drafted by the Jets in the fifth round (127th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
