RAPID CITY, S.D.- The Rapid City Rush, ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Calgary Flames, have agreed to terms with goaltender Jason Pawloski for the 2023-24 season.
Backstopping the SPHL’s Fayetteville Marksmen last season, Pawloski posted an 11-12-1 record in 26 appearances with one shutout, a 2.95 goals-against average and a save percentage of .913.
In 2021-22, Pawloski tallied 17 wins for the Marksmen and earned his first ECHL win with Kalamazoo after a nearly two-month ECHL call-up. In his 22 SPHL appearances that season, he finished third in the league with a 2.14 goals-against average and a .924 save percentage.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Pawloski played college hockey at Minnesota State University-Mankato. After a three-year stint with the Mavericks, Pawloski debuted in pro hockey with stints in Indy and Greenville as well as in the SPHL with Knoxville and Fayetteville. Prior to his time at college, Pawloski snagged 25 wins in the 2013-14 season with the United States Hockey League's Indiana Ice helping to lead the team to the Clark Cup championship. He received the playoff Most Valuable Player award after posting a 1.80 goals-against average in postseason play.
