Laberge makes NHL debut

Former Idaho Steelheads, Allen Americans and Adirondack Thunder forward Samuel Laberge became the 743rd former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the New Jersey Devils on Thursday at Philadelphia. 

Laberge is the third former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2023-24 season. He totaled 47 points (17g-30a) in 64 games in the ECHL during the 2017-18 (Idaho), 2020-21 (Allen) and 2021-22 (Adirondack) seasons.

A native of Chateauguay, Quebec, Laberge has recorded 54 points (22g-32a) in 201 career games in the American Hockey League with Utica and Texas.
