Halonen makes NHL debut

Halonen makes NHL debut

Former Adirondack Thunder forward Brian Halonen became the 750th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he debuted with the New Jersey Devils on Sunday against Tampa Bay.

Halonen is the 10th former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2023-24 season. He notched an assist in his only game with the Thunder during the 2022-23 season.

A native of Delano, Minnesota, Halonen has recorded 50 points (32g-18a) in 90 career games with Utica of the American Hockey League.
